Open a .fbx file and see it, with its real dimensions and units. It renders in this tab.
Your file never leaves your browser. STEP, IGES and BREP fetch the OpenCASCADE kernel (2.3 MB over the wire); 3DM fetches rhino3dm (2.5 MB before compression); every mesh and scene format fetches neither. Nothing downloads until you pick a file.what we bundle ↗

At this needs roughly here. Whether it fits depends on the geometry, not the size: a large CAD assembly can open, while a much smaller STEP exported from a mesh can run out of memory. If it does, this page says so, and the file never leaves your computer either way.

Why an FBX opens with parts in the wrong place
FBX separates meshes from the model nodes that position them. Some exports arrive with no placements at all, and this viewer then shows the raw mesh coordinates, which piles everything around the origin. The warning names that case so you do not read it as a broken model.
Units are the other trap. FBX can declare a scale factor and often does not, so the dimensions here are centimetres, marked as read from the file or assumed. Check a known dimension before sending the model anywhere it will be manufactured.
This reader takes both the binary and the ASCII form. It reads geometry and placement only: materials, textures and animation are not displayed, and their absence in this preview says nothing about the file. See the FBX guide.
