At this needs roughly here. Whether it fits depends on the geometry, not the size: a large CAD assembly can open, while a much smaller STEP exported from a mesh can run out of memory. If it does, this page says so, and the file never leaves your computer either way.

What a BREP file leaves unstated
BREP is Open CASCADE's own working format, not an interchange standard. It carries no unit at all, so the dimensions here are read as millimetres by convention. Nothing in the file confirms that. Check one known measurement before trusting the numbers.
The shapes inside are exact surfaces, and the preview is a triangle approximation of them at a stated tolerance. A curved face arrives faceted for the same reason it does with STEP or IGES. The original surfaces are still in the file.
You will mostly meet BREP as an intermediate saved by an Open CASCADE tool. For sending a part to someone else, a STEP export is the better handoff. See the BREP guide for what the format does and does not carry.
